In my "other" life, to support my yarn habit and feed my children, one of the things I do is write a column for the Boston Herald about small businesses. It is rare that my two interests intersect but yarn must be bought and sold and so on occassion, they do cross paths. This week the column is about a small company selling yak yarn: http://business.bostonherald.com/businessNews/view.bg?articleid=1017630
The founders weren't knitters to begin with , but they have picked it up. They feature a few patterns on their website and are running a pattern contest. Check them out at shokay.com
